Anniversary Card

This is an Anniversary Card I made for my Parents 65th Wedding Anniversary

this is the same card before the added ribbon

I used the Tea Thyme Collection for the card.
I hand made the flowers with the CTMH Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge.
Cut the vines with leaves to match the size of the flower with the same cartridge.

This is the inside...I will write my own sentiment

* You can find an easy to follow tutorial on how to make the flowers here.  Go down to the flower ball and find the directions.

This is one of their Wedding Pictures that I stole so I could frame it and have it on the table next to the cake at their Surprise Anniversary party.

Nutcracker Clara

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and spent it with family and friends.  I had a wonderful day with my family and have so much to be thankful for.

Sitting at my craft table with so many projects to finish and more to start....I couldn't think about anything except making another tag to go with my nutcracker tag.   I took that idea and went with it and made a Clara version.....

I will be going to the Nutcracker Ballet this week with my daughter and two of my grandbeauties.  So this is my version of Clara.

I was so excited about this tag  that
I think I posted this a little early....I still want to distress and add the gold edges .  This makes the perfect tag to go with my Nutcracker tag from Graphic 45

Thank you to all who commented here and on facebook.  I love to hear from you.

Just a quick note that this is the end of the month and last opportunity to get the Close to My Heart stamp of the month for November You can pick it up for $17.95 or for  ONLY  $5 with a $50 purchase from the catalog.

My Version of FTPT Gypsy Christmas Caravan

Oh my goodness it has been soooooo long since my last post.  I have been busy but haven't taken the tmie to share.
I am very excited to share my Gypsy Christmas Caravan that I have been working on and still have much to do.    I couldn't wait to get it up here.  I still have to finish the drawer in the back and do the album that goes in the drawer. I still have to make the pull.   I have been anxiously waiting for Laura to do hers but I got tired of waiting and went ahead and did my own version.  I LOVE IT!

Tim Holtz at Queens Ink

I'm back from a long blog vacation.  Missed being part of blog world and aside from a very sore shoulder injury..I am hunting and pecking the keys so I can share the pictures of my fun time taking classes with Tim Holtz at the Queens Ink, in Maryland.

Tim was so much fun...a great teacher and even though there were 100 people there..he stopped by each of us and signed our articles with a joke and a smile for everyone.  We made these crazy  steampunk goodies, learned lots of fun techniques and just had a ball!

He came around many times checking on our progress and complimenting our work especially if we dared to try something different.

Mario was the unsung hero behind all the work and setup.  He was running all day providing whatever anyone needed.  Kept that smile on all day.

                                                                                                                      Betsy

I want to send out a big thank you to my fun and wonderful sister, Betsy.  We had a great time together.  She made me so comfortable I could have stayed and scrapped with her forever.  I wish we had so much more time to share.  Just too many miles separate us.  The only thing that would have made it even greater would be having our sister  Rianne share this fun scrap time with us.

Thank you to my brother-in-law Bill.  He lugged my suit case, up and down the stairs.  He cooked us a vegetable lasagna with a side of shrimp and tomatoes.  The next night a big family dinner (my nieces and nephew and his finance) with baked chicken, corn on the cob and beets to die for.... fabulous dinners!  Bill served us wine while we relaxed and ended the days with a bowl of ice-cream and fruit. Oh, and we woke up to blueberry waffles one morning and a beautiful omelet the next.  I think I'm planning my next vacation with them.  Betsy, and Bill.......Thank you for everything!

Now off to figure out what to do about this shoulder... Oh the pain!!!!       Until next time.

On The Road

The Journey can be fun and exciting even when it includes hardships and stress.  New beginnings are always a challenge and can bring new adventures, discoveries and treasures.  It is the man who digs in and fulfills his dream of starting over and doing it with gusto and perseverance that can look back and be proud of taking a risk and working hard to succeed.
Congratulations and Wishing you the very best........ on the road.  You can do it!

HERE WE GO......

I used the  Close To My Heart Cruzin  paper for the map background and the torn distressed paper is from the Super Hero paper pack.

I used the hexagon shapes to resemble street sign shapes to highlight the letters on the banner.  They were cut with the cricut machine using the Pixar World of Cars Disney Cartridge.  Bottle cap is from Close To My Heart it can be purchased separately Z1691 (8 different bottle caps in a  package). and it is included in the Cruzin Workshop on the Go Kit.

I used the Cricut Pixar World Of Cars Disney Cartridge to cut and paper piece the street signs...

Check out the tire tracks crossing the speed limit sign.  The tire track stamp is one included in the
Cruzin Workshop on the Go.  The gas pump is another stamp in that set.  I just love those stamps

The wind of change stamp is an older Close To My Heart Stamp Set.

Just a little info to show how easy it is to use the Close To My Heart Art Philosophy Cartridge with one of the  chipboard banners that come with the cartridge.  It includes 3 sheets of 3 coordinating chipboard sets and stamp sets

The banner is on page 49

Open package...choose the chipboard banner and set cricut machine at the 2 or 3 inches according to the banner you choose.  I used the 2 inch

The banner is on page 49 of the Art Philosophy Cartridge and it shows exactly where it is located on the cricut pad.  Push and Cut.

Cut the paper at 2 inches and match up with the chipboard...glue ..DONE
